A long weekend on the Oregon coast, which I’d thought of as being a potential storm-watch weekend turned into a bit of a December heat wave. We stayed at Cannon Beach and had some excellent sun rises and sunsets, as well as weather warm enough, and clear enough to hike up Saddle Mountain. The first night was dinner at Pelican Brewing, and an evening walk on the beach. The next morning started on the beach again, getting the sunrise this time.
In the afternoon we went inland to Saddle Mountain, then back to Public Coast Brewing for a beer tasting, then takeaway pizza from Pelican – and a beet while I was waiting too of course.
We stayed on the coast the following day – down to Oswald park and on to Tillamook.
