A short trip down to Yachats for a few nights, then a stopover in the Willamete Valley for some food and wine. We stayed at the Overleaf Lodge and Spa, and had dinner at the Drift Inn on the first evening. The second day we had a short walk on the beach locally then a drive down the coast to Florence and a very eerie feel with mist hanging around Haceta Beach. Dinner at the Waterfront Depot in Florence.
Car problems and a weird electric issue meant a longer beach walk the following day.
We needed a jump start to get moving and had to keep the engine running whenever we stopped, as we didn’t know if it would start again. We got to the winery ok, and it was a wonderful location.
We were fortunate that we could get another jump start the following day – and headed home non-stop. We never did find out what had gone wrong with the car, and traded it in soon after.
