This was a short trip up to Birch Bay, to meet up with some friends and see the local sites. We had a stop off on the way up at the Little Mountain Overlook outside Mt Vernon, a look in at Samish Island and lunch at La Conner. Arriving for some nice evening sunsets.
Slide Mountain Fossil trail lived up to its name, with both fossils and slippery slopes!
A short drive up to Semiahmoo gave us a first view of a foreign country for a long while (Canada) with the Peace Arch and Moby Dick Fish and Chips clearly visible across the water! Nice sunsets again!
Plenty of nature to see, and a fun trip. Some lights in the Mountains had confused us – then realised these were the ski slopes above Vancouver!
