I was heading out for an early morning walk and bird watch in the Marin Headlands, but as it was clear and approaching sunrise, why not stop off at the bridge?

The sun was rising in a slightly cloudy sky, so coming and going.

I also wanted to capture something a bit different – so played around with depth of field, capturing the locks on the fences with the iconic bridge and city behind.

From various angles the city fitted in between the suspension cables – giving some interesting framing opportunities.

As the sun rose, a final few pictures, looking back up 101, and also across to Angel Island and Tiburon – then onward to Rodeo Lagoon – the subject of my next posting!
