Started up at the Grizzly Peak vista point, which on a clear day gives about as good a panorama of the Bay as you’ll find anywhere.

From there onto Seaview and the Big Springs Loop Trail — a good stretch of ridge walking with the views opening and closing as the trail winds through.

Finished up at the Regional Parks Botanic Garden, tucked into Wildcat Canyon — a good place to slow right down after the ridge walking. Best sighting of the day came here too: a newt, sitting out in the open long enough for a proper look.

A good full day out, and one that packs in a real variety of scenery for a single park.
