Started the day at the old shipwreck near Inverness — one of the most photographed spots on the whole peninsula, and it’s easy to see why once you’re standing in front of that broken-down hull.

From there, a run of stops working further into the peninsula through the late morning — Point Reyes has that effect where every turn seems to open onto another view worth stopping for.

By early afternoon we’d worked round toward the more open, exposed stretches of the peninsula — the wind really picks up out here, which probably explains why so many of the trees along this coast grow bent almost flat.

A last stretch through mid-afternoon before heading back — good light for it, the kind that makes even a quick phone snap look half-decent.

Always a good one for a full day out — there’s enough ground to cover here that you could come back a dozen times and still find somewhere new.
